When the films leads to a conversation about gender identity in childhood and adolescence

The short film Mrs. MacCutcheon, by John Sheedy is the lead for a debate about “When gender identity doesn’t match the gender at birth”.

For the debate we invited Luís Santos, from Fernando Pessoa University, Zélia Figueiredo, psyquiatrist at Magalhães Lemos Hospital and Sandra Monteiro, mother of a transgender youngster and member of AMPLOS, an association of parents for the liberty of sexual orientation and gender identity. Graça Lacerda, responsible for the Education Service from Galeria Municipal do Porto/Jardins do Palácio de Cristal will moderate this conversation.
