Tomorrow and Sunday full of workshops … with limited seats available

Tomorrow and Sunday are days of great hustle and bustle at IndieJunior Allianz, with several workshops taking place. All have a limited number of participants and below you can find the information to register.

On Saturday, at 10:00 am, the Municipal Library Almeida Garrett hosts the workshop Symmetry and Asymmetry. From the film The Twin Isles, integrated in the program for +6 years of short films of the festival, we proposed to the families that, between small and big, look for forms and images with regular and irregular contours. The workshop is done in collaboration with the Educational Service of the Municipal Gallery of Porto.

It has free admission with registration through the following contacts: 226081063, [email protected]

At 2:30 pm, at the Rivoli Theater, it is time to Bring the Shadows to Light, a workshop with Marta Bernardes. We usually perceive shadows only as a natural and less important effect of the presence of objects in the world. But the richness of the shadows is a lot: their forms, their dance always dependent on light, the suggestive contours they draw on a paper or a surface.

In this workshop, we invite the participants to look again at what seemed evident and, like a magic lantern, we will play with the illuminations and the haunts in a small world of wonder.

For children between 3 and 14 years old, accompanied by the family, the tickets of this workshop cost € 5 and are sold at the ticket office of the Teatro Rivoli. You can also make a pre-reservation by email to [email protected]

Addressing bullying among children through play is the theme of the Bullying is Not Funny workshop, which happens at 3:00 pm, at the Almeida Garrett Municipal Library. We started out with a film, Peter Stanley-Ward’s Litterbugs, which inventively tackles this issue and creates jokes and provides a free and light space where families can talk about growing up in the 21st century.

Aimed at children aged 10 years and over, this workshop is done in collaboration with the Educational Service of Galeria Municipal do Porto, and is free of charge by registering through the following contacts: 226081063, [email protected]
