Here are the IndieJunior Allianz 2019’s award-winning films

At the closing ceremony of the festival, held last Sunday (February 3rd) at Teatro Rivoli, the winning films of the 3rd edition of the event were revealed.

The Official Jury of the International Competition of the festival, composed of Wandson Lisboa, Adélia Carvalho and Jorge Prendas, awarded the great prize to the feature film In My Room, a documentary by Israeli Ayelet Albenda. The special mention was given to the short film Threads, a Norwegian animation by Toril Kove.

The prize awarded by the Jury Schools, composed of students Ana Nogueira, Margarida Gaspar and Maria João Costa, went to the short film Fire in Cardboard City, a stop motion film from New Zealand, directed by Phil Brough. A special mention was awarded to In My Room.

Finally, the big winner of the audience award, the result of the public voting at the festival, was the Japanese animation Mary and the Witch’s Flower, a feature film by Hiromasa Yonebayashi.
