Mochila Cultural PNA/ IndieJuniorFilm/ Debate from Summer 2000 (Virginie Nolin/ Laurance Olivier, Canada, Diction, 17′)

Summer 2000 is a fiction film in which nine-year-old Sarah gradually and naively begins to awaken to love. However, an unexpected event blocks her curiosity. It’s an intimate and delicate tale, in which the play between different media offers an insight into gender performativity and consent. Sarah’s story is the starting point for a conversation about expected social behavior based on gender identity and about setting boundaries in intimate relationships.
