Let’s Imagine a More Sustainable City? | School Workshop

Although situated in the middle of the city, the Botanical Garden of the University of Porto allows us to come into contact with some of the diversity of plants and animals that characterises the natural world. And inside the Biodiversity Gallery – Living Science Centre, we can understand the importance of the biodiversity that surrounds us. However, biodiversity is increasingly threatened by the impact of human activity, and atmospheric, water and noise pollution is one of the factors that has contributed to its decline. In this activity, as we walk through the Botanical Garden, we will reflect on how we can make our city more sustainable and increase its biodiversity. At the same time, we will collect some plant materials that we will then use to build wild animals that live in our city.

Workshop exclusively for schools.
