This is the greatest new of the 3rd edition of IndieJúnior Allianz. There will be 6 sessions of “Cinema de Colo” (which means Lap Cinema in portuguese), providing closer moments between the babies and their families. Part of the weekend programme, in the last 2 days of the festival, the sessions, composed by projections of short films about animals – babies’ best friends – will last 25 minutes and happen in an immersive and comfortable place. Stories full of stimulating sounds and colours on impressive projections, in a space where the babies can react and move safely. An unforgettable “first time” of the magic in a movie theatre experienced between parents and kids.

The sessions will happen at Pequeno Auditório of Rivoli Theather, on May 2nd and 3rd, at 10:30am, 11:15am and 12:00pm. The entrance is free and limited by the room capacity.

The set design of Pequeno Auditório is by Marta Silva and Inês Costa, with the challenge of transform the stage in a cozy and comfie place, where the babies can explore the space and enjoy the first images seen on big screen with their parents. The goal is to create an immersive ambience, where the cinema experience can be understood as a stimulation to the kids between 0 and 3 years senses. That way, the lights, sound, textures, shapes and colours will be used to explore the sensations.

Set Designer and professor of set design at ESMAE, Marta Silva has already worked in many companies as set and costume designer, with national producers, international theatres and opera. Now she works as set design teacher and also coordinates the set design are inside ESMAE – Escola de Música e Artes do Espáculo do IPP (a music and arts school), where she started working in 2002.
