The City of Culture (Cidade da Cultura), an architectural, cultural and entertainment complex located in the city of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, will once again host in January a selection of the best cinema aimed at an often more demanding audience with the seventh edition of Pequefilmes, the international festival of children’s short films. Its next edition will screen a total of 65 works, from twenty countries, on the weekend of January 28 and 29.

In order to sustain its international divulgation and growth, the festival will start a new collaboration with IndieJúnior Porto. Two sessions will be programmed with the most outstanding short films exhibited in the last three editions of the festival. Besides these programs, Pequefilmes will also have a selection from the Clermont-Ferrand festival.

This new alliance joins the one Pequefilmes has had with Clermont-Ferrand since its creation, which allows it to bring to Galicia a selection of the best short films that have been shown at this prestigious festival.

Both special programs – IndieJunior and Clermont-Ferrand – are free upon ticket pick-up in Ataquilla, at the Gaiás Museum or on the same day of the screenings at the Galicia Library.
