FILMar: from the archive to our days

Attention, teachers from Porto!

One of the big news in the next edition of IndieJunior Porto is the participation of the FILMar project, operated by the Cinemateca Portuguesa, in several areas of the festival. The project, which began on February 4th, 2020, has the commitment to digitalize and make accessible, 10 thousand minutes of Portuguese cinema related to the sea, in a period of three years.

And not only for kids, there is also programming for teachers at IndieJúnior Porto. On the 9th of November, in partnership with Centro de Formação Guilhermina Suggia, FILMar, Plano Nacional das Artes, and Casa Comum – Reitoria da Universidade do Porto, there will be a credited training session exclusively for teachers. The trainer José António Marques Oliveira e Vieira da Cunha, between 3 and 7 PM, will receive at Casa Comum 25 teachers for 4 hours of training, based on FILMar project’s archives and materials that will be part of the program of the seventh edition of IndieJúnior Porto.

The registration is free and is already available through the link indiejunior.com/formacaofilmar. The capacity is limited to 25 participants.
